Hollywood stars are usually the ones that teenagers fall in love with, but just like their fans, they too once had a crush on some other celebrity. Many of them have revealed who their platonic love was at that time and here we are going to review 10 of them.
The teenage crushes of today's stars
Ariana Grande: she confessed that Jim Carrey was her childhood crush. And she got the chance to meet him and it lived up to expectations: "My childhood crush, my lifelong crush, it all goes hand in hand, is Jim Carrey. I was a little nervous to meet him, because I thought, you know, he's been my crush forever, what if he's not as nice as I expected," she explained on 'Live with Kelly and Michael'.
Selena Gomez: she revealed on Jimmy Kimmel that her crush was Billy Crudup. "I was in love with him. I went through my whole 'Almost Famous' phase, so I was like Penny Lane for a good month: I wore the outfits and did my hair and wore glasses... and then I found out I was going to be part of the movie and it took me a minute at first, because I had a bit of a crush on him."
Reese Whiterspoon: in her case, Johnny Depp was her crush, after seeing him in the TV series '21 Jump Street'. "I had a huge crush on him. I used to take pictures of Teen Beat and put them on my wall," she confessed to MTV News.
Chrissy Teigen: Alex Rodriguez was her crush, but she didn't meet him until she married John Legend: "I grew up in Seattle, and at the time he was 18 or 19 when he was playing, so he was very young. He was my first crush. John and I saw him at Soho House and I'd never seen him in person before, and John knows that very well. He said to me, 'Your man is there!' And I was so embarrassed. You never think you're going to meet those people," she told InStyle.
Ashton Kutcher: a handsome guy with another Hollywood hottie, his crush was Jennifer Aniston: "Four or five years later, I met Jennifer Aniston and she was married to Brad Pitt at the time. So I went to Brad Pitt and asked him for permission to ask his wife out. He looked at me and said, 'You go for it,'" he explained on The Graham Norton Show, adding: "So I asked her and she turned me down."
Zac Efron: Tyra Banks was his crush. "When I was younger, I used to lie in my bed and look at a poster of Tyra Banks on my ceiling. It was in the Victoria's Secret catalogues my mum used to get and I thought it was the most beautiful thing in the world."
Emma Stone: for her Leonardo DiCaprio was the one. "I'd seen 'Titanic' seven and a half times in cinemas. He was the love of my life. I had a picture of him in my room that was signed that I had gotten for my birthday when I was like 12," she revealed on 'The Jess Cagle Show'.
Chris Evans: another Hollywood star, Sandra Bullock. He fell in love with her when he saw 'Speed'. "I grew up very much in love with Sandra Bullock. 'Speed' was very important. The whole movie, in general, did it for me," he told W Magazine.
Benedict Cumerbatch: Carrie Fisher, star of 'Star Wars'. "You know, I wasn't particularly loyal as a kid. I think probably Carrie Fisher in 'Star Wars'. I wanted to be Harrison Ford and that was definitely one of the reasons I wanted to be Harrison Ford," he told Vanity Fair.
Oscar Isaac: his crush was Jessica Lang. "It was Jessica Lange because I saw 'King Kong'. I wrote her name on every page of the computer. And then I got to make a movie with her and I said, 'Just don't tell her. Just wait at least a day before you tell her.' Within 30 seconds, I was like, 'I was so obsessed with you. I wrote your name in every font!' She didn't care," he explained to Vanity Fair.
Kate Bosworth: Leonardo DiCaprio again. "Probably, like most 13-year-olds, I was very interested in Leo in 'Romeo and Juliet'. I think all teenage girls just thought, 'I want that kind of crazy love,' because you're just starting to feel it," she told InStyle.
